inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan emphasized the role of universities in efforts to prevent drug abuse.

"In this case, universities can play a role in educating and preventing drug abuse in ensuring the development of ideal Indonesian human resources," said Fauzan on Wednesday (3/5/2025).

Fauzan also emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions such as with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs in fighting drug abuse..

"Hopefully, collaboration like this can continue to be strengthened so that we can solve problems in our society together," said Fauzan.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan reminded all young generations of Indonesia never to be involved in activities related to drugs.

"For young Indonesians, you have a good and bright future, do not get involved with drugs as it will destroy your future and life," said the Coordinating Minister Budi Gunawan.

He considered that drug abuse activities can damage all levels of society, from the elderly to young people.

In addition to being detrimental to the physique of the drug users, it can also drive the addict to commit crimes.
