inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Personnel from the North Sumatra Regional Police's Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Pioneer Battalion C are intensifying the cleanup of homes affected by floods and landslides in Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency.
"We are ensuring the presence of personnel on the ground to assist the disaster-affected community until conditions recover," said the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ferry Walintukan, Friday (1/23/2026).
He continued, explaining that Brimob personnel and the Indonesian National Military (TNI) are collaborating to clean up the remaining mud, materials, and building debris from people's homes following the natural disaster in the area.
He stated that the cleanup of homes belonging to disaster-affected residents in the area has reached approximately 65 percent completion and will continue until recovery.
"The entire series of activities proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly, and received a warm welcome from the community, who felt the assistance of personnel during the recovery process," said Ferry.
He stated that his office is committed to always being present as protectors, guardians, and servants of the community, especially in emergency and post-disaster situations.
