inp.polri.go.id – The Keladi Sagu program, which focussed in improving the health of Papuan communities, continues to be carried out by the personnel of the National Police Medical Team by moving to remote areas to help the people who need health assistance. On Thursday (11/3), the police medical team visited the Kago Village to give medical service to the locals. Ipda Richard Adson, who led the team, said that they would intensify the program in Puncak Regency with the hope that it could reach the people live in rural areas. “In our program, we regularly gave them an opportunity to check their health condition and also giving them medicines to improve their health condition. All of this is free of charge,” he said. On Thursday, the team reported that they had given free medical services in Kago Village and Kimak Village. Among those who received medical attention are Karena Murib (47), Jane (45), Amsal (40), Melton (9), Trtmis (18), and Stefanus (57). “It is hoped that our service would prove useful for the community and also helped them in their recovery,” he concluded. “Meanwhile, the Head of Cartenz Peace Ops Public Relations, Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa Kamal, said that the presence of the police in Papua is not only to provide security services, but also to give the Papuans other social services, one of which is medical services. “We hoped that the Keladi Sagu Program could bring benefits to the community and help them in their recovery,” said Commissioner Ahmad.
