inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have named two suspects in the stabbing of the Golkar Party branch chairman in Southeast Maluku Regency, Agrapinus Rumatora, also known as Nus Kei. Both were immediately detained at the Maluku Regional Police detention center.

The two suspects are HR, also known as Hendra, and FU, also known as Venix, also known as AN. Maluku Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Rositah Umasugi, stated that the suspect determinations were made after investigators obtained evidence.

"All stages were carried out according to procedure, from the investigation, the prosecution, the determination of suspects, to coercive measures in the form of arrest and detention," she explained in a written statement on Tuesday (4/21/2026).

She explained that the investigation began after receiving a police report on April 19, 2026. Investigators then conducted a crime scene investigation, questioned witnesses, and collected evidence.

Based on the investigation, the two perpetrators were arrested and named suspects on April 20, 2026. Both were charged under Article 459 of the Criminal Code (Law No. 1 of 2023) concerning premeditated murder, which carries a maximum penalty of death, life imprisonment, or a maximum sentence of 20 years, in conjunction with Article 458 of the Criminal Code concerning murder, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years.

"Furthermore, both underwent intensive questioning accompanied by legal counsel at the Maluku Regional Police Criminal Investigation Directorate office," he said.
