inp.polri.go.id – The police found traces of grass burning right on the edge of the toll road where a series of accidents involving 13 vehicles on the Pejagan Toll Road happened on Sunday (18/9). Police suspect this to be one of the causes of the accident. This was confirmed by the Head of Traffic Accident Unit of Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate, AKBP Aditia, who went to the location to process the crime scene using a 3D Scanner with the Brebes Police Traffic Unit. "Allegedly, what is clear is that this smoke is from grass burning, and this smoke obstruct the view of the drivers," explained AKBP Aditia. AKBP Aditia added that in this incident, the police also conducted an investigation regarding the reasong behind the burning, whether there was an element of intent or other reasons. The Brebes Police will also ask for information from a number of witnesses related to this case. "The Traffic Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit are also carrying out investigations related to this," he said. The Head of Traffic Laka Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Korlantas Polri confirmed that there are no casualties in the accident. "There are 19 victims with minor injuries, with 15 of them are being treated at Mutiara Bunda Hospital and four others at Bhakti Asih Hospital," he explained.
