The Bhayangkara Corps is even said to have guaranteed the availability of cooking oil and other supplies. "In our opinion, our ways to uphold the law is following the applicable law, including the investigation into the cooking oil mafia," said a member of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Mohammad Dawam, told reporters on Wednesday (20/04/22). Mohammad Dawam assessed that the National Police (Polri) had contributed to uncovering the cooking oil hoards in many areas. According to him, this shows the preparedness of the police. "The disclosure of hoarding in various areas shows the preparedness of the Police in terms of guaranteeing the availability of supplies for the wider community, especially ahead of this year’s Eid," he said. He asked the people who were harmed by the actions of the cooking oil mafia to complain to the police in all regions of Indonesia. Polri will certainly follow up on the report as long as all elements, both the administration of the complaint and the substance of the case, are clear. "Of course, the Police as protectors of the community have the same mindset in guaranteeing the availability of supplies, especially before and after the holiday," he explained.
