Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Jakarta Popsivo Polwan staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia 3-2 (21-25, 30-32, 26-24, 25-19, 15-12) in a dramatic match during the second round of the 2025 PLN Mobile Proliga series at Jawa Pos Arena stadium, Surabaya, on Sunday night.
The victory marked Popsivo's first win in the second round and extended their winning streak to seven matches, placing them within reach of the final four. For Petrokimia, the loss was their fourth consecutive defeat, complicating their path to the next stage.
Popsivo’s resilience shone after dropping the first two sets. Neriman Ozsoy led the charge with 29 points, supported by Bethania De La Cruz (24) and Arsela Nuari (17). On Petrokimia’s side, Kitania Medina Torres scored 24 points, with Mediyoku and Tran Thi Thanh Thuy contributing 18 and 17, respectively.
"Key to our win was perseverance. I told the team not to give up after falling behind," said Popsivo Polwan coach Gerardo Daglio.
