Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. A 2.5-kilometer car queue formed along the Puncak tourist route in Bogor, West Java, as police conducted odd-even license plate checks on Sunday (26/1/2025).
"Visually, the traffic jam stretched over 2.5 kilometers from Simpang Gadog due to delays caused by odd-even checks," said First Inspector Ardian, a Traffic Operations Officer of Bogor Sub-regional Police, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The system, implemented at 6 am, allowed vehicles with even-numbered plates to proceed, while odd-numbered plates were turned back. To ease congestion, contraflow measures were introduced near the Ciawi Toll Gate for traffic heading toward Sukabumi.
A one-way system toward Puncak was also enforced starting at 7 am as around 12,000 cars entered Puncak.
Police anticipate heavier traffic during Islamic day of Isra Mi’raj and Lunar New Year holidays and will maintain situational one-way and odd-even measures through Wednesday (29/1/2025).
