Inp.polri.go.id – Makassar. “The domestic waste management in Losari is important to process liquid waste for the better of our environment, land water, and raw water, and eventually for the quality of our people,” said President in his official statement on Thursday (2/22/2024).
Jokowi believes that Losari IPAL is important in improving people’s awareness, particularly on environmental issues.
“The liquid waste management is also necessary to improve community awareness so that we can invite them to jointly overcome environmental issues in Makassar,” said Jokowi.
The project of Losari IPAL reportedly cost Indonesia IDR 1.2 trillion which paid through a multi-year system for three years in 2019-2023 with the state funds, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Makassar City APBD budgets.
“This Losari IPAL was built from 2019-2023 and costs us IDR 1.2 trillion with 1.067 billion from state funds, 672 billion from Asian Development Bank, 150 billion from Makassar regional funds,” revealed Jokowi.
The Losari IPAL has the capacity of 16 thousand cubic meters per day, with 96 kilometers pipe and could serve 41 thousand families.
