Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has issued Presidential Regulation No. 121 of 2024, which provides health coverage for state ministers after they leave office.

Antaranews.com reported on Thursday (17/10/2024) that the regulation, available on jdih.setneg.go.id, extended health benefits to retired ministers, the Cabinet Secretary, and their registered spouses. The coverage is provided through health insurance systems focusing on quality control and cost management.

Health services include promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative care, based on medical needs and age. Ministers under 60 receive health benefits for two times the length of their service, while those aged 60 and above, along with their spouses, receive lifetime coverage.

Care is available at government or state-owned facilities in Indonesia, with the government covering the insurance premiums from the state budget (APBN).

However, ministers convicted of crimes or those who resign due to legal charges will not be eligible for these benefits.

The regulation, signed by President Jokowi on 15 October 2024, took effect immediately.
