The creation of the Anti-corruption Corps is outlined in the newly added Article 20A, which states that the Corps will assist the INP  Chief) in the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of corruption and money laundering related to corruption, as well as asset tracing and security of assets derived from corrupt activities.

The Corps will be led by a head equivalent to a two-star general and will report directly to the INP Chief. The Corruption Crime Eradication Corps Head will be supported by a deputy and up to three directorates.

Previously, INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has said that the establishment of the Corps was proposed in December 2021 when 44 former KPK employees were appointed as civil servants in the INP.
