inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto is confident that Indonesia is capable of becoming an energy supplier for countries in the world considering the large domestic energy potential and the many energy reserves in Indonesia that have not been explored.
In front of business actors in the energy sector, especially oil and gas (migas), the President also encouraged cooperation and collaboration between the government, the private sector, and state-owned enterprises to increase domestic oil and gas production.
"I just spoke with several experts from the best universities abroad, just yesterday they told me that in our seas there are very large energy sources. We are very, very optimistic, soon we will not only be self-sufficient state in energy, we will supply energy to the world," said President Prabowo Subianto while giving a speech at the opening of the 49th Annual Convention and Exhibition of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA Convex) in 2025 in Tangerang Regency, Banten, Wednesday (5/21/2025).
The President said that Indonesia's energy reserve potential is very large, there are dozens of oil and gas blocks that Indonesia is ready to offer to domestic and foreign business actors.
Therefore, the President also ordered his staff to create regulations and bureaucracy that do not complicate investors and business actors.
"I ask regulatory bodies, simplify regulations. I repeat: Simplify regulations!" said the President.
On the same occasion, the President also said that the Danantara Investment Management Agency was also ready to invest in strategic oil and gas projects.
