Inp.polri.go.id - Agam. President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (18/12/2025) set a one month completion target of temporary shelters so displaced flood victims in Agam, West Sumatra can leave emergency tents.
“I am pleased to see the temporary houses already under construction, and they should be completed within one month,” he said during his visit to an evacuation post in Salareh Aia Village, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The President said the shelters are intended to provide immediate, dignified housing for flood affected residents while the government prepares permanent homes of adequate quality and size, planned at around 70 square meters. He added the state will continue monitoring conditions and ensuring affected communities are not left alone during recovery.
Meanwhile, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the construction of temporary shelters is currently the main focus in West Sumatra to speed up recovery, adding that permanent relocation will be started if conditions allow.
