Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) has built bore wells and installed clean water tanks in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province, to support communities affected by recent flooding.
Brimob Force I Commander Brigadier General Anang Sumpena said on Thursday (18/12/2025) the facilities were constructed in Gang Sayur, Durian Village, Rantau District, on Wednesday to address urgent clean water needs.
“Clean water is the most critical necessity after a disaster, so this program is designed to provide sustainable access for residents,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The initiative forms part of the INP’s broader recovery program, which targets 100 bore well locations in flood prone and densely populated areas. In Aceh alone, Brimob has distributed 387 water tanks, including those supporting the new wells in Aceh Tamiang.
Police officers worked alongside local residents to assist medium and long term recovery, not only emergency response.
