Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Presidential Special Envoy for Youth and Arts Raffi Ahmad confirmed that the black car with the RI 36 license plate, which went viral on social media, is his official state car.

"The vehicle is indeed assigned to me. However, during the incident, I was not inside the car. It was on its way to pick me up for my next meeting," hei explained in a written statement on Saturday (11/1/2025)..

Raffi clarified that the car was returning from collecting important documents when the situation occurred, according to antaranews.com.

Separately, Superintendent Argo Wiyono, the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Deputy Director of Traffic, provided details of the incident on 8 January 2025, around 4.30 pm on Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin. A road repair truck caused congestion, leading to a near-collision between an Alphard taxi and a white Suzuki Ertiga.

A traffic escort intervened to ease traffic but was perceived as arrogant due to his gestures. Metro Jaya Police  is investigating the matter and has apologized for any unintended misconduct.
