inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the Press Council, Ninik Rahayu, reminds the Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division has the main task of always informing facts to the public. Moreover, they are tasked to always be committed in not using conspirative words and to communicate well with the public without looking at their position or class.
She stated that in the 73 years of age of the INP PR Division, they have to show the changes in their communication as to not only building a positive image, but also conveying the information properly to the people about police activities.
“We know that nowadays people have been searching the details of police work. and has created the term of ‘no viral no justice’, where there would be no justice if the case is not going viral in social media or other online platforms,” says Ninik on Wednesday (10/30/2024).
According to Ninik, the commitment of INP PR Division Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho in relaying the truths must be appreciated, as his division has to build positive impact on institutional actions and lead to internal/corporate/institutional interests.
"It is the obligation of the PR Division to provide clarification, or respond to issues circulating in the community," she explained.
The Chairman of the Press Council admitted that the work and duties of INP Public Relations and journalists are not much different. The difference between the two is only related to the limitations of the object.
