Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has accepted a series of fines totaling $14,000 (approximately Rp235 million) from the AFC Disciplinary Committee following multiple security lapses during international futsal matches.

The penalties stemmed from incidents where unaccredited individuals and spectators entered the pitch and technical areas during matches involving Indonesia, South Korea, Iran, and Afghanistan between late January and early February 2026.

"We accept it from the AFC. This is so that netizens understand that futsal falls under PSSI; we also bear the financing," said PSSI Executive Committee member Arya Sinulingga on Monday (9/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.

PSSI confirmed they will not appeal the decision, viewing the sanctions as a necessary lesson in match management and safety protocols.

Beyond the futsal controversy, the federation is currently shifting focus to the senior national team’s preparations for the upcoming FIFA Series at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, with head coach John Herdman scouting domestic and overseas talent to strengthen the squad.
