Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia preparation as the host of FIFA U-17 World Cup receives a positive feedback from FIFA. Football Association of Indonesia Chair, Erick Thohir, states that FIFA was pleased with the preparations done by Indonesia. “The Venue, there are 27 football field as stated by FIFA, both for matches and training. From the 27 football fields, FIFA has checked them all and they are happy with the preparation,” says Erick, Thursday (11/9/2023). The U-17 World Cup will begin on Friday November 10th, 2023 at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya. The opening ceremony will be held before the opening match of Indonesia vs Ecuador at 19:00 o’clock. Erick teased there will be a surprise during the opening ceremony. “What’s more is there are FIFA equipment that we have received, such as LED and others. Yesterday I received a report that the opening stages has been set-up, and for me, it will be interesting,” says Erick. It is worth noting that Indonesia is chosen to host the 19th FIFA U-17 World Cup which will be held from November 10th to December 2nd. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
