INP Deputy Chief Leads Community Service in Palembang

Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang.  The Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, led a health and social welfare drive at the JSC  Dining Hall and Dempo JSC Sports Building in Palembang, South Sumatra on Thursday morning (9/11/2023). Explaining the community service initiative that was a response to INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directive, Senior Superintendent Supriadi, the Head of Public Relations Department  of the South Sumatra Regional Police, highlighted its aim: to aid underprivileged communities in Palembang, South Sumatra. Both the Indonesian military  and local administration authorities participated in this effort. He emphasized that this community service is a vital part of a larger initiative ensuring community well-being and supporting the government's goal of preparing a healthy populace, ultimately contributing to Indonesia's progress. The event saw the presence of various key figures, including South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General  A. Rachmad Wibowo Sik, a representative from the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Dr. Agus Fatoni, and Brigadier General Ruslan Effendy Sip from the Sriwijaya II Military Command. In addition, it involved discussions with district police precincts from Ogan Ilir and Ogan Komering Ilir through Zoom Meetings. The health campaign catered to approximately 1,500 participants, offering an array of vital health services such as mass circumcision, blood donation drives, general health check-ups, dental services, specialist clinics, and other medical support. Besides health services, the initiative extended to social welfare activities, including inaugurating bore wells for clean water, home renovations, and distributing aid to 15 selected beneficiaries, benefiting around 5,300 individuals.
