Inp.polri.go.id - Cirebon. Indonesian railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has completed the evacuation of five derailed cars from the Argo Bromo Anggrek train, which went off track at Pegaden Baru Station, Subang, West Java.
“The evacuation was completed at 7.09 am,” said Muhibbuddin, the Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Cirebon, on Saturday (2/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The recovered train units, including a power car, two compartments, and two executive coaches, have been sent to Manggarai Workshop for further inspection and repair. The operation involved technical teams from multiple regions including Tegal, Yogyakarta, Manggarai, Bandung, and Cipinang.
Track repairs began immediately after the evacuation and were completed within 2.5 hours. The line reopened at 10.57 am, with Argo Lawu from Gambir station to Solo Balapan station becoming the first train to pass.
The incident disrupted 54 train trips, with 43 rerouted and nine temporarily halted. Alternative routes included Cikampek–Bandung–Kroya and Prupuk–Cirebon.
