“We remind the public to beware with strangers, including those from society, and particularly those who lure you with something tempting,” says the Head of Lampung Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Umi Fadillah Astutik.

Umi also noted about the hypnotists that they often took advantage of those who are unaware of the situation. She urged the public to always be on guard and not to be easily convinced by strangers.

Umi Fadillah Astutik added that meetings with strangers who were acquaintanced through social media must be done carefully.

"If you meet, make sure it is in a crowded place and do not bring your valuables," she added.

Furthermore, the Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police invited the public to immediately report if they suspect any criminal acts.

"Cooperation between the public and the police is very important to prevent cases like this from happening," she concluded.
