Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Shuttler Putri Kusuma Wardani advanced to the final of the Hong Kong Open 2024, marking her first appearance in a BWF Super 500 tournament final, after a tight semifinal match on Saturday (14/9/2024).
Competing at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Putri Kusuma Wardani defeated Japan's Tomoka Miyazaki with scores of 22-20, 21-23, 21-18.
“I am thrilled to reach my second final in two weeks and my first at the Super 500 level. I hope to stand on the highest podium tomorrow,” Putri said, as quoted by antaranews.com..
Last week, Putri reached the final of the Taipei Open but fell short against South Korea’s Sim Yu-jin.
Putri's achievement followed Indonesian men’s doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, who have already reached the final after defeating their compatriots Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.
