inp.polri.go.id - Russian missiles hit the city of Vinnytsia in central Ukraine on Thursday (14/7) night, and reportedly killing 23 people. Ukraine says Russia has launched its Kalibr cruise missile from its submarine in the Black Sea to attack Vnnytsia, a city of 370,000 people, located about 200 kilometers southwest of the capital Kyiv. Ukraine's emergency services said three children including a 4-year-old girl named Lisa were the victims of the attack. Meanwhile, around 71 other people were injured and are still being treated in hospital. Another 29 people are said to be missing since the attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned the attack, which he saw as further highlighting Russia's war crimes in Ukraine. "Unfortunately, this toll might still go up. We are still trying to clear the rubble. Dozens of people are reported missing. Among those hospitalized are having serious injuries," Zelensky told Reuters via video. "No other country in the world poses a terrorist threat like Russia," he added. Meanwhile, Russia denies that it does not target civilians in any of its military operations in Ukraine. Moscow claims to always target Ukrainian military facilities in launching its invasion. Vinnytsia is home to the Ukrainian Air Force, according to the ex-Soviet country's official military website. As a result of the attack on Vinnytsia, the United States and about 40 other countries agreed to conduct an investigation to the alleged war crimes by Russia. However, it is not yet clear what kinds of investigation they will held and how Russia will respond to this.
