inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi emphasized that the budget for scholarships to operational education services for the Indonesian people is not affected by budget efficiency.
"So the government ensures that educational services such as, for example, the operational capacity of universities will not be affected. KIP (Smart Indonesia Card) will not be affected. Scholarships will be continued," said Head of PCO Hasan, Friday (2/14/2025).
According to Hasan, regarding budget efficiency, all ministries and institutions are currently reconstructing the budget so that it can be right on target.
There are four things that are certain not to be affected by efficiency in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) number 1 of 2025 concerning the Efficiency of APBN and APBD Spending 2025, including employee salaries, employee priorities, public services, and social assistance.
Head of PCO Hasan explained that education is part of public services so of course the budget to support it is certainly not affected.
Moreover, in the president's program, education is part of the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC) which is of course a priority program so that the budget that is directly related to supporting the improvement of the quality of education in Indonesia cannot be disturbed.
PCO Head Hasan said that if there is efficiency related to programs in the education sector, it is efficiency for things that are considered ceremonial and do not directly affect public services.
He also gave examples of things that are made efficient, such as the cost of purchasing office stationery (ATK), the cost of forum group discussions (FGD), and the cost of monitoring and evaluation.
With the sophistication of technology that already exists today, it is considered that study activities or evaluation activities can be carried out online through teleconferencing applications.
“So believe me if what you are concerned about is the tuition bills or scholarship being affected, fear not as those are the services guaranteed by the government to be fulfilled,” said Hasan.
