During the meeting, state leaders discussed various cooperations, one of which was in the defense industry related to the KF21 fighter jet which had successfully carried out its first flight test.
"Cooperation in the defense sector and the defense industry is an important pillar in the relationship between the two countries, and the KF21 or the latest generation of IFX fighter jet developed by the two countries has successfully carried out its first flight test recently and both countries welcome this achievement," said President Yoon in a statement. a joint press conference as shown on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account.
President Yoon also said that Indonesia and South Korea were determined to continue to increase cooperation in developing fighter jets until it was completed. In addition, other defense cooperation projects will continue to be carried out. "Other cooperation programs in the defense industry will also continue to be carried out proactively by utilizing Korea's world-class technological and production capabilities," he explained.
In addition to cooperation in various fields, the Meeting of President Yoon and President Jokowi also discussed cooperation related to the latest global issues. He expressed his support for Indonesia's G20 presidency. "The South Korean government gives full support to Indonesia as the host of the G20. I am really looking forward to November this year to attend the G20 in Bali," he explained.
