inp.polri.go.id – Sumsel. South Sumatra Provincial Police Chief (Kapolda Sulsel), Inspector General Drs. Toni Harmanto, M.H., ensures that cooking oil stocks are safe ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan. He conveyed this statement after making a direct visit to one of the cooking oil producers in Palembang.
"We guarantee that the cooking oil stock in South Sumatra is safe until the holy month of Ramadhan," said Kapolda Sulsel in Palembang, Tuesday (22/3/22).
During his visit yesterday afternoon, the Kapolda directly checked the availability of cooking oil and packaging cooking oil in Palembang City.
"We checked the availability of stock per day for standard, premium and bulk packaged cooking oil," said Kapolda Sulsel.
Other than that, he also saw firsthand the process of producing the cooking oil at PT. Indokarya, and found out that they can produce around 5,500 tons of bulk cooking oil and around 60,000 liters of premium cooking oil per day.
"And for that, we are certain that we can fulfill the needs of cooking oil in South Sumatra Province, which is estimated at 102.35 tons/day," said the Two-Star General.
He said the need for cooking oil during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of March 2022 for South Sumatra was around 716,502 tons/716,502 liters. Meanwhile, he continued, the available stock was 59,925.892 tons/59,925,892 liters.
"The number of existing stocks shows that the South Sumatra Province is experiencing a 'surplus' in the availability of cooking oil. So, for the people of South Sumatra, don't worry for this Ramadhan, our cooking oil stocks are safe," explained the number one figure of the South Sumatra Police.
