Inp.polri.go.id – South Sumatra. South Sumatra Regional Police reveal the allegation of subsidized fuel misuse in Muara Enim Regency. The Head of South Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Sunarto says that his party has arrested five suspects from the uncovering. The suspects are HDN, KNS, SPD, JS, and HB. Police further reveal the role of the suspects: HDN owns the modified vehicles, KNS acts as the driver, SPD is the gas station employee, JS as the gas station manager, and HB as the field watcher. The five of them were arrested on March 21-22, 2024. “The three suspects resell the fuel using jerry cans with the price more expensive than those sold by the government,” said Sunarto on Monday (4/1/2024). Moreover, based on the investigation result, investigators also found that the suspect sold their fuel to small shops around the mining area. For their crimes, five suspects were charged with Article concerning Oil and Gas and laws concerning job creation. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
