The Chief of West Papua Police, Police Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga emphasized that recruitment of Indonesian National Police (INP) is free of charge and applies throughout Indonesia without exception. He emphasized this to remind all members of the West Papua Regional Police to avoid the practice of brokers in every recruitment of INP members.

"The recruitment of members of the INP is free, there is no payment. This applies throughout Indonesia, including the jurisdiction of the West Papua Regional Police," explained Police Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang as quoted from TribunPapuaBarat.com, Friday (3/24/23).

Daniel said there is no compromise for any active INP members who try to promise graduation or ask for payment for recruitment of INP members within the scope of the West Papua Regional Police.

"Whoever plays games, I will take firm action to be punished. There is no compromise for people who play games with the recruitment of members of the INP," he explained further.

He also appealed to the people of West Papua and Southwest Papua to be wiser and always be aware of the various modes of brokers in recruiting members of the INP.

"The recruitment of INP members is carried out openly, the public is advised not to easily believe individuals who promise something, either via message or cell phone. If there is, the public can immediately report to the nearest Police Post or directly to the regional committee that organizes the selection stages," he concluded.
