Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Thousands of residents across three provinces were affected by severe floods and landslides that struck Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra this week, prompting large-scale police and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) emergency operations.
“We are continuously verifying affected areas and prioritizing urgent aid distribution,” said Irfanda Rinaldi, Head of BPBD Nagan Raya in Aceh on Sunday (30/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com
In Aceh’s Nagan Raya, 14,537 people were impacted after flash floods devastated multiple villages from 26 and 27 November 2025. In West Sumatra, Padang reported infrastructure losses of Rp 202.8 billion, while 4,000 Agam residents evacuated due to landslides and flash floods. In North Sumatra’s Serdang Bedagai, 16,987 households were affected after days of heavy rain triggered river overflows and damaged two major embankments.
Police units in all three provinces assisted evacuations, secured road access, delivered logistics, and coordinated with BPBD to accelerate relief efforts.
