Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps has deployed an assistance team to investigate a fatal multi-vehicle collision that killed three people and injured over a dozen others on the Pantura Highway in Indramayu, West Java, on Sunday.

"We are ensuring that every traffic accident, especially those resulting in fatalities, is handled professionally, scientifically, and transparently," said Traffic Corps Law Enforcement Director Brigadier General I Made Agus Prasatya on Tuesday (14/7/2026).

Using 3D laser scanners, the Traffic Accident Analysis (TAA) team found no braking signs from two Hino trucks before they struck a stationary Daihatsu Gran Max pickup at an unofficial median opening. 

The team also identified a 10-centimeter road elevation difference and a lack of traffic signs at the site. Authorities have initiated focus group discussions with local transport agencies to permanently restructure the highway's U-turn points.
