Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Inspector General Dr. Aan Suhanan, M.Si., the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, inspected the Semarang-Surabaya toll road to assess preparation for the 2024 holiday operation. "We're currently at KM 575 on the Ngawi-Surabaya route. This section, taking about 2 hours from Semarang to Ngawi, is crucial for travelers heading from Jakarta to Semarang or Semarang to Surabaya," he said on Wednesday (28/2/2024). After reviewing Rest Area KM 575 A, Chief Aan proceeded to the Satelit Surabaya Toll Exit Office where he was briefed with security preparations for the 2024 holiday operation from Senior Superintendent Komarudin, the Director of Traffic at East Java Regional Police. "On the second day, along with stakeholders in Surabaya, we were able to map out regional information regarding road preparation, including toll roads, main arteries, and tourist routes, to cater to travelers returning home or visiting tourist destinations," he explained. Chief Aan  noted ongoing works on toll roads, main arteries, and tourist routes. However, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing has been committed to completing them at least 10 days before Eid al-Fitr. (mg/pt/pr/nm)
