inp.polri.go.id - Natuna. The Anambas Islands Sub-regional Police distributed four tons of clean water to at least 200 people affected by drought in Siantan District.

Anambas Islands Sub-regional Police, Superintendent I Gusti Ngurah Agung Budianaloka, stated that the distribution took place on Wednesday (8/19/2026) afternoon in Tanjung Momong and Antang.

According to Budianaloka, Anambas Islands Regency has been experiencing drought for almost two months, causing people in several areas to struggle to obtain water for their daily needs.

He said the total amount of clean water distributed in the two areas reached no less than four tons, intended for at least 200 residents.

The clean water was distributed using water tankers and pickup trucks through the Napoleon Precision Public Order and Security Patrol.

Agung stated that they will also distribute clean water to other areas in need based on data currently being collected.

He hopes this assistance can ease the burden on the community during the ongoing drought and limited water supply.

"Through this clean water distribution, we want to demonstrate that the INP always strives to be present, care, and provide real benefits to the community," he said.

Meanwhile, Siantan Sector Police, First Police Inspector Dodi Setiawan, stated that the clean water distribution was carried out after Anambas Islands Sub-regional Police personnel found people struggling to obtain water during patrols.

Dodi stated that the Anambas Islands Sub-regional Police had prepared a one-ton capacity water tower at the Siantan Sector Police to distribute clean water to the community when needed.

The tower can be transported by pickup truck to reach residents in need.

During these activities, personnel also educated the community on water conservation and how to work together to maintain security and order in the environment.

"We want every personnel's presence in the field to be truly beneficial. When communities face clean water challenges, we strive to be there and assist to the best of our ability," said Dodi.
