inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka reviewed a number of strategic projects in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan to ensure the readiness of the country's operational support infrastructure to run on time and according to standards.
In a statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/28/2025) evening, the Vice President conducted a review starting from the Segment 5B Toll Road with progress reaching 70 percent.
This toll road is estimated to be completed in mid-2026 and will cut travel time from Sepinggan Airport to the core area of the IKN to around 50 minutes, as well as facilitate logistics and public mobility.
The Vice President also reviewed the Abdi Waluyo Hospital, whose construction progress has reached 75.6 percent. The hospital will be a modern health facility.
Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized that all projects visited were priorities, with most running according to schedule and the rest being accelerated through daily monitoring.
"According to him, nothing should be late, and the quality should be maintained," said Basuki.
In line with that, East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas'ud expressed the Vice President's appreciation for the progress of IKN development.
Through this visit, the Vice President emphasized the importance of the readiness of government infrastructure as the main foundation for state governance in the future. The government is targeting all core and supporting infrastructure to be completed gradually in order to support the transfer of government activities to the Archipelago.
