Inp.polri.go.id - Simpang Empat. The West Pasaman Sub-regional Police in West Sumatra have deployed around 60 officers to search for residents buried in a landslide in Tinggam, Jorong Harapan, Nagari Sinuruik. The operation began early Saturday (6/12/2025) as teams faced heavy rain and difficult terrain.

“Our personnel are assisting in the search, evacuation, and helping residents cross the affected area,” said West Pasaman Police Head of Operations Senior Inspector Muzhendra, as cited by antaranews.com.

Two victims, identified as Yelma Yunita (41) and Raffael Gusti Pratama (7), have been found, while three others remain missing. Search efforts continue using excavators and manual digging due to unstable soil conditions.

Authorities also helped residents from Bateh Samuik carry belongings across the blocked route, as the road remains inaccessible to vehicles. Local leaders confirmed that logistics for 333 affected families are being delivered through an estafet system to ensure supplies reach isolated communities.
