inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Cyber Criminal Investigation of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency has shown their commitment in eradicating cyber criminals by arresting a suspect for managing and spreads child pornography content.
The Vice Director of INP Cyber Criminal Investigation Directorate, Senior Superintendent Dani Kustoni, during the press conference, has determined OS alias Anefcinta as the main suspect.
The disclosure of this case began with an investigation by the police that detected the activity of distributing pornographic videos through a site with the address bokep.cfd along with 26 other domains that are still active. After the investigation, OS was successfully arrested at his residence in Mekarsari Village, Pangandaran, West Java.
According to Dani, the suspect, who works as a freelance worker and administrator of the village website, is suspected of having been operating pornographic websites since 2015. A total of 27 sites he manages with various adult and child content.
OS's modus operandi, said Dani, included searching for pornographic videos, building sites, and managing content independently. From further investigation, the team found additional evidence in the form of notes on the suspect's laptop indicating that OS had managed up to 585 sites with pornographic content.
In addition, suspect OS was known to have earned hundreds of millions of rupiah from Google's AdSense program by taking advantage of the high number of visitors to these sites.
The confiscated evidence included four mobile phones, one CPU, one laptop, two external hard drives, two flash drives, and three email accounts. Based on the results of the forensic analysis, OS stored 123 pornographic videos on his mobile phone, 3,064 videos on his laptop, and had uploaded a total of 1,085 videos to his sites.
Dani emphasized the importance of the role of the community in eradicating pornography, especially that involving children, by reporting suspicious activities to the authorities.
"We urge the entire community to actively maintain digital security. Children are the next generation of the nation that we must protect from the exposure of dangerous contents," he said.
For his actions, OS was charged with Article 45 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph 1 of the ITE Law and Article 29 in conjunction with Article 4 paragraph 1 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography, with a maximum criminal penalty of 12 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp6 billion.
