Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Food Agency (NFA) has organized 2,158 affordable food markets across 31 provinces and 205 cities and regencies to stabilize food prices and ensure accessibility, particularly during Ramadan and ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2025.
“This initiative has been running since early 2025, ensuring affordable and high-quality staple foods,” said NFA Head Arief Prasetyo Adi on Sunday (23/3/2025).
The program offers rice, cooking oil, chili, and other essential commodities at government-regulated prices to balance market dynamics.
“The government ensures fair prices for farmers while keeping consumer prices stable to manage inflation,” Arief added, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Despite recorded deflation, inflation remains under control due to government policies, including airline and electricity discounts. February 2025’s core inflation stood at 2.48%, with volatile food inflation at 0.56%.
