“The Consulate General of Indonesia in Los Angeles will continue to monitor the fulfilment of rights for the two Indonesians in the laws of the US,” says the Indonesian Protector Director, Judah Nugraha on Wednesday (6/11/2025).
The two Indonesians arrested in the immigrant raid operation due to huge demonstrations in LA. The two are ESS (53) which has illegal status living in the US, and CT (48) who has a history of drug offenses in AS.
The Indonesian consulate in Los Angeles is still coordinating with local authorities to acquire consular access for the two Indonesians.
Judah also ensures that the Indonesian consulate in LA has communicated with the families of the two Indonesians.
Amidst the increasing operation of raids against immigrants in the US, the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry has advised Indonesians to ensure that they used the correct and proper visa for their stay.
Every Indonesian citizen who plans to travel to the US is also advised to anticipate stricter immigration checks upon arrival at US airports.
