Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A Riau non-commissioned police officer who founded a free Islamic boarding school for underprivileged children has been granted a rare opportunity to attend commissioned police training by the Indonesian National Police Chief (INP), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Assistant First Inspector Jimmi Farma received the honor from the INP Chief during a visit to Rumbai Pesisir Police Office in Pekanbaru on Friday (25/4/2025). The recognition was given for his dedication in founding and managing Pondok Al-Qur’an Baitul Ihsan, which now provides religious education to around 150 children without charge.

“This is what it means to be a human-centered and service-driven police force,” said CHief Sigit. “Officer Jimmi has gone beyond his call of duty and become a true agent of change.”

The boarding school, located in Kampung Bandar, is run independently based on values of sincerity and community service.

Chief Sigit emphasized that initiatives like this should inspire other officers to contribute to society.

With the commissioned police training, Officer Jimmi is expected to grow as a leader—and continue serving his community far beyond his uniform.
