Inp.polri.go.id - Dharmasraya.  The Jambi-Padang section of the Trans-Sumatra Highway is completely blocked after a road collapse near Simpang Ratu Balqis, Sirih Sekapur Village, Jujuhan District, Bungo Regency, Jambi, on Sunday afternoon (2/3/2025).

Head of the Dharmasraya Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Eldison, confirmed that the affected section lies in Jujuhan District, near the border of Sungai Rumbai river, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra.

“The road collapse is approximately two kilometers from Sungai Rumbai’s center,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Initial reports indicate that floodwaters from a nearby river overflowed, triggering a landslide that destroyed the main interprovincial route. The disruption has caused severe traffic congestion in both directions.

Local authorities, including the Dharmasraya and Bungo administration have informed it to the National Road Agency.
