Lampung Regional Police and ranks participated the teleconferenceed by the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief and Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman from Suban to launch the 1 million hectares of land corn sowing as a support to the Asta Cita President Prabowo Subianto.

Lampung Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Helmy Santika, in his statement, conveys the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation in realizing the program.

"Realizing food self-sufficiency is not only the duties of the government, but us as a whole. With the collaboration of INP, Agriculture Ministry, GAPKI, Perhutani, Inhutani, private parties, and farmers, we are optimistic that we reach the goal of food self-sufficiency," says Helmy.

Helmy says that in total, the ranks of Lampung Regional Police able to sow 492 kilogram of corn seeds on 2.837 hectares of land.

"This is not just a ceremonial program, but a strategic step to support the national food self sufficiency. Lampung Regional Police is ready to be part of the solution, particularly in ensuring the success of the program in regional level," says Lampung Regional Police.

Lampung Regional Police Chief also emphasized that their support on this program is part of efforts to achieve a Golden Indonesia that is independent in the food sector.

Helmy hopes that through this activity, public would be encouraged to be more aware with agricultural sector.
