Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Home Affairs has confirmed on Wednesday (4/12/2024) that 19 civil servants who violated neutrality during the 2024 regional elections have faced sanctions.
This clarification came in response to concerns from Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR), Dede Yusuf Macan Effendi, who questioned the lack of visible penalties for such violations.
Syarmadani, the Acting Director General of Politics and General Government at the Ministry, explained that 1,158 civil servants were reported for suspected neutrality violations.
Of these, 667 cases are pending verification by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), while 436 cases are awaiting further action by local authorities, according to antaranews.com
Four cases involved civil servants who had retired, resigned, or left the service. Twenty-four cases were found to be without merit, 27 were canceled, and 60 were rejected.
Syarmadani emphasized that detailed reports on these cases are available, with specific data on complaints from various regions across Indonesia.
