Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Seoul has assured citizens that they can resume normal activities after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol lifted the military emergency status.
However, the Embassy advised Indonesians to stay cautious and monitor developments.
In a statement published on Instagram on Wednesday (4/12/2024), the Embassy confirmed that the situation in Seoul remains calm, and daily activities are proceeding as usual. This followed the South Korean National Assembly’s decision to request the cancellation of the military emergency declared on Tuesday.
President Yoon accepted the Assembly’s request and held a cabinet meeting Wednesday to officially revoke the emergency order.
So far, no Indonesian citizens have been reported affected by the emergency.
Indonesians who need assistance are encouraged to contact the Embassy via its hotline (+82-10-5394-2546), by phone (02 2224 9000), or email (seoul.kbri@kemlu.go.id). The Embassy remains open for in-person assistance from 09:00 to 17:00 KST, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 13:30 KST.
