Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Jakarta Popsivo Polwan won the first-round title of the 2025 PLN Mobile Proliga, finishing unbeaten with a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-13, 25-18) over Jakarta Electric PLN in the final match of the round on Saturday evening (25/1/2025). 

The victory gained the 17 points and top spot in the standings, according to antaranews.com.

Despite strong competition, Popsivo Polwan dominated the match, with Bethania De La Cruz and Neriman Ozsoy leading the charge, scoring 18 and 15 points, respectively. Electric PLN struggled to match Popsivo's firepower, with only Valentina Diouf reaching double digits for her team, finishing with 14 points.

Popsivo's solid defense and sharp attacks were evident throughout, particularly in the second and third sets. Electric PLN had a brief challenge in the first set but could not sustain their performance, making numerous errors, especially in reception.

Coach Gerardo Daglio praised his team's overall performance, highlighting the contributions of both foreign and local players. The team remains a strong contender heading into the next round, though the coach acknowledged that the competition will intensify.

Meanwhile Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Bhayangkara, coached by Reidel Alfonso Gonzales Toiran, reached second place in the 2025 PLN Mobile Proliga men’s ’standings with 9 points, having won three matches and lost once.
