inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto praised the Chinese government for continuing to defend the Palestinian people, as he said at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry business meeting which was also attended by Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang.

Prabowo assessed that China is consistent and continues to defend oppressed people throughout the world, both when the country's economy was still developing and when it had become a developed country.

"From my heart, on behalf of myself and on behalf of the Indonesian people, we convey our respect to the leadership of the People's Republic of China in defending oppressed people throughout the world," said President Prabowo at the event held in Jakarta, Saturday (5/25/2025) night.

The President explained that in addition to defending people who are experiencing oppression, the Chinese government is also consistent in defending the interests of developing countries that are developing.

The Chinese government, said Prabowo, is also committed to continuing to fight imperialism, colonialism, and apartheid.

"The People's Republic of China defends the liberation struggles in countries that are still oppressed by imperialism and colonialism. Not only when China is already economically strong, but even when China is still developing, China continues to defend the struggles of liberation movements everywhere," Prabowo said.

Prabowo believes that China and Indonesia can show the world how power can be used for the common good and welfare, not one always on top, and the other always below.
