Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has recorded 2,517,296 train tickets sold for the 2025 Eid Al-Fitr holiday season, with several routes seeing the highest demand.

"As of 11 March 2025, we have sold 2.5 million tickets, covering 69.36% of our total available capacity," said PT KAI Vice President of Public Relations Anne Purba on Sunday (23/3/2025).

PT KAI has allocated 4.59 million seats for the Eid travel period from 21 March – 11 April 2025, including 3.44 million for long-distance trains and 1.14 million for local trains.

The busiest routes include Jakarta Gambir Station to Yogyakarta Tugu Station, Jakarta Gambir Station to Semarang Tawang Station, Yogyakarta Tugu Station  to Jakarta Gambir Station, Semarang Tawang Station to Jakarta Gambir Station, and Surabaya Pasar Turi Station to Jakarta Pasar Senen Station. Other high-demand routes include Jakarta Pasar Senen Station to Surabaya Pasar Turi Station, Jakarta Gambir Station to Cirebon Station, Jakarta Pasar Senen Station to Kutoarjo Station, Jakarta Pasar Senen Station to Yogyakarta Lempuyangan Station , and Jakarta Gambir Station to Purwokerto Station .

To enhance passenger experience, PT KAI has launched special fare discounts of up to 25% for early bookings and 20% for Ramadan travel.
