inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) stated that it has successfully established more than 27,000 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Indonesia within one year and four months as part of its efforts to ensure the success of the Free Nutritional Meal (MBG) Program.
"In just one year and four months, we have successfully established 27,000 SPPGs spread from Sabang to Merauke," said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, Wednesday (4/22/2026).
This means that BGN currently has 27,000 SPPG heads, 27,000 nutritionists, 27,000 accountants, and 1.1 million volunteers ready to support the success of one of President Prabowo Subianto's AstaCita.
In West Sumatra, he continued, BGN recorded 404 SPPGs, 70 of which are located in Padang City. With this number, at least IDR 400 billion is circulating in the Minang region to meet MBG needs.
"And of the money that goes into the virtual account at each SPPG, 70 percent is used to purchase raw materials," said Dadan.
He explained that the MBG program promoted by President Prabowo not only aims to produce and develop superior and healthy human resources (HR). It also has a direct impact on various sectors, from agriculture to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Dadan stated that 95 percent of the MBG's materials come from agricultural sources. This means this policy directly impacts farmers, livestock breeders, fishermen, and other sectors. Twenty percent of the MBG budget is used to cover operational costs, including volunteer salaries, which range from IDR 2.4 million to IDR 3.5 million.
According to reports from several regions, the MBG program has also succeeded in reducing poverty and unemployment rates and has had a positive impact on the Gini ratio.
"I've received reports that people are also enthusiastic about farming, planting, raising livestock, and so on. Hopefully, this will also be the case in Padang and West Sumatra," said Dadan.
