Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police  (INP) Bhayangkara Hospital ( in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta is treating 31 police officers injured during Thursday’s violent protest in front of the House of Representatives (DPR). 

The hospital confirmed that the injuries range from minor wounds to cases requiring surgical intervention.

“There are 31 officers injured. All are under intensive care, and several will undergo surgery,” said Hospital spokesperson Senior Inspector Yoan Hendri on Friday (29/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He emphasized that all those hospitalized are members of the police force who were deployed to secure the protest. 

Police said the protest, organized by student and labor groups, turned violent in the evening after initially peaceful demonstrations. Officers were forced to disperse the crowd, leading to clashes at several points across Jakarta. RS Polri confirmed no fatalities. INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo postponed his visit to the injured officers and is expected to come Saturday.
