inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate uncovered 35 drug cases with a total of 54 suspects, consisting of 49 men and 5 women.

The Banten Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Wiwin Setiawan, stated that of these suspects, 32 were dealers and 22 were users. In this regard, the Banten Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate is estimated to have saved approximately 46,501 lives from the dangers of drug abuse.

"This disclosure is the result of the hard work of the Banten Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate in combating illicit drug trafficking within the Banten Regional Police jurisdiction," said Wiwin on Thursday (2/26/2026).

The confiscated evidence included 4,718.54 grams of methamphetamine; 7,503.94 grams of marijuana; 30 vape cartridges of etomidate; and 5,015 Schedule G drugs, consisting of 2,643 Tramadol pills and 2,372 Hexymer pills.

"The total estimated value of the evidence is approximately IDR 4.7 billion in methamphetamine, approximately IDR 22.5 million in marijuana, approximately IDR 60 million in Etomide, and approximately IDR 15 million in G listed drugs," he explained.

The suspects were charged under Articles 111, 114, and 127 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, Articles 609 and 610 of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, Articles 60 and 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics, and Articles 435 and 436 of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health.
