The Indonesian Foreign Ministry firmly states that the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza is the facility build with the only purpose of humanitarian cause and treats the wounded in Gaza. “Indonesian Hospital currently is being managed fully by Palestinian authority in Gaza, although from time-to-time volunteers in Indonesia often came to lend their hands,” says the Foreign Minister spoke person Muhamad Iqbal on Tuesday (11/7/2023). The statement is to respond the accusation from Israel that there is a tunnel network under the hospital used by Hamas to attack Israel. Iqbal then explains that Indonesian Hospital has become one of the few health facilities in Gaza that is still running amidst the growing number of bombings from Israel. “The hospital now treats more patients than the hospital can accommodate,” says Iqbal.
