inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. The South Tangerang Sub-regional Police revealed the results of a mediation between a parent and an elementary school teacher named Christiana Budiyati. This mediation was conducted in response to a police report alleging the teacher had made indecent remarks to a student.

South Tangerang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Boy Jumalolo, stated that the mediation held yesterday (1/28/2026) prioritized the child's interests. However, the legal process for the complainant remains ongoing.

"For now, the complainant has decided to proceed with the police report that has been filed with the South Tangerang Sub-regional Police," explained Boy in a written statement on Thursday (1/29/2026).

Boy stated that the respondent herself has apologized to the parents and the student. During the mediation, the teacher confirmed that her intention to provide advice to the student was solely for her student benefit.

"The respondent apologizes to the child and parents if she has caused any sadness or disappointment with her actions and words, but my intentions are for the child's well-being," said Boy.

The complainant, he said, will continue the legal process and will exercise his right of reply to the media.

"However, the complainant stated that they still has the option of mediation/restorative justice open for the future," he said.
